This report is currently available in Russian language only. However, we can provide an English version of the report within 3 weeks after receiving a payment.

This report is the twenty-fifth edition of the study of the petroleum coke market in Russia, the CIS and the world.

The purpose of the study is to analyze the petroleum coke market in the Russian Federation, the CIS and the world.

The object of study is petroleum coke (green and calcined).

The work presented is a desk research. The databases used as information sources were the UN (UNdata), the Statistical Committees of the CIS countries (including Rosstat, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, the Statistics Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan, etc.), customs statistics of the Russian Federation and Ukraine, official statistics of railway transportation of the Russian Federation; materials from the industry and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers, Internet sites of producers and consumers of petroleum coke, as well as the Infomine database.

In addition, some data was confirmed and clarified through telephone interviews with specialists discussed in this report of the enterprises.

All this allowed experts to identify the picture of the petroleum coke market in the CIS and the prospects for its development.

A distinctive feature of this study is the presence of a brief description of the global petroleum coke market; a detailed description of the largest manufacturing enterprises and consumers of the products in question in Russia, the CIS countries and Ukraine, directions of supply of raw materials, volumes and directions of sales of green and calcined coke. The structure of consumption of petroleum coke by industries and largest consumer enterprises is examined in detail, and a description of the current state and prospects for the development of the main consuming industries is given. Forecasts for prices, production and consumption of petroleum coke are given (taking into account the current geopolitical situation as a result of Russia's special military operation on the territory of Ukraine), and the largest projects for expanding production capacity are presented.

Chronological scope of the study: 1996-2022; forecast for the period up to 2035

Geography of the study: Russian Federation – comprehensive detailed market analysis; world, Ukraine, Republic of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and other CIS countries - general retrospective market analysis.

The report consists of 7 parts, contains 188 pages, including 47 figures, 86 tables and 2 appendices.

The first chapter of the report provides a brief description of the global petroleum coke market.

The second chapter provides information about the raw materials necessary for the production of petroleum coke, its characteristics, and supply directions. Also in this chapter, the coke production technology is discussed in detail and the quality indicators of the resulting products are given.

The third chapter is devoted to the production of petroleum coke (green and calcined) in the CIS countries in 1996-2022. The section provides statistical and estimated data on the capacity and volume of coke production in Russia and the CIS countries. All enterprises producing petroleum coke, the current situation at these plants and development prospects are described in detail.

The fourth chapter provides data on foreign trade operations with petroleum coke in Russia and the CIS in 1996-2022. and 1st half of 2023

The fifth chapter provides information on producer prices on the Russian market. In addition, data on changes in export-import prices for products in Russia and Ukraine were analyzed. This chapter also provides a price forecast for the period up to 2035.

Chapter six examines the consumption of petroleum coke. The balance of production and consumption of these products in the Russian Federation and Ukraine is given, the industrial structure of coke consumption in the Russian Federation is given, the main consumers of the Russian Federation and the CIS are presented, their current state and development prospects are analyzed.

The seventh chapter provides a forecast for the development of the Russian petroleum coke market for the period up to 2035.

The appendices provide addresses and contact information of enterprises producing and consuming petroleum coke in the CIS countries.

Target audience of the study:

- participants in the petroleum coke market – producers, consumers, traders;

- potential investors.

The proposed study purports to be a reference guide for marketing services and management decision makers working in the petroleum coke market.
