This report is currently available in Russian language only. However, we can provide an English version of the report within 3 weeks after receiving a payment.

The report is devoted to research of current standing of market of broken stone in Russia and resources base for its production. The report is composed of 10 Sections, contains 371 pages, including 76 Figures, 188 Tables and Appendix. This work is mainly a desk study. As information sources, we used data of Russian State Statistic Service, Federal Customs Service of Russia, official domestic railage statistics, sectoral and regional print press, yearly and quarterly reports of companies, web-sites of enterprise-producers, as well as information databases of LLC ""InfoMine Research Group" and PJSC "IKF "ITKOR". In connection with the fact that, in Russia, motor transportation of freight is not liable to obligatory statistic recording, the report presents data on railway supplies only.

The first Section of the report analyses questions of provision with resources, production and consumption of broken stone in Russian Federation as a whole.

The first part of the Section presents data on reserves of resources for production of broken stone in Russia as of 2007, estimates quality and regional pattern of reserves of building stone deposits.

The second part of the Section presents data on volumes of production of broken stone in Russia in 2000-2008, estimates regional and commodity pattern of production of broken stone, presents data on volumes of production of broken stone of "TOP-20" Russian producers for the latest 3 years.

The third part of the first Section is devoted to analysis of foreign trade operations in broken stone. It presents data on volumes of the supplies in bulk and in money terms for the period of 2002 - 6 months of 2008, data on volumes and directions of supplies of greatest exporters and importers of broken stone. Regional pattern of the supplies is also described.

The fourth part of the first Section analyses of consumption of broken stone in Russia. It presents supply-demand balance of broken stone in Russia as a whole and by Federal Districts, estimates calculated demand for broken stone, taking into account standing of the main end-uses in Russia as a whole and by Federal Districts, estimates sectoral and regional pattern of broken stone consumption in Russia. Besides, in the part, effect of seasonality factor on Russian market of broken stone has been analysed.

The second-eighth Sections of the report give detailed analysis of regional markets of broken stone in all Federal Districts of Russian Federation. The Sections have typical contents. They presents data on provision with resources for production of broken stone in all regions of Russian Federation as of 2007, including data on quantity of deposits of building stone and sand-gravel material, their reserves, morphological types, degree of development, regional pattern of location.

Regional pattern of production of broken stone by regions of Russian Federation for the period of 2005 – 10 months of 2008 has been analysed. Data on volumes of production of broken stone by the greatest regional producers in 2006-2007 are presented. The Sections describe leading regional producers of broken stone, including data on period of presence of the companies at the market; available productive facilities, capacities; current standing; pattern of ownership; mined deposits and their reserves; quality characteristics of manufactured products; volumes of production; volumes and directions of supplies of broken stone.

Besides, these Sections present data on supply-demand balances of broken stone in all regions of Russian Federation in 2007 and regional pattern of consumption. Basing on analysis of current standing of the main end-uses, we estimated sectoral pattern of consumption of broken stone by Federal Districts. Besides, data on volumes of broken stone supplies to the greatest regional consumers by railway transport are given.

The 9th Section of the Report presents price analysis. It presents data on producer’s and purchaser’s prices on broken stone in 2001-2008 in Russia as a whole and average purchaser’s prices on broken stone by Federal Districts in 2007-2008. Data on current prices on broken stone of some Russian producers over all Federal Districts have been given. Analysis of costs of delivery of broken stone by various transport modes has been conducted, and dependence between distance of railway transportation of broken stone and costs of the delivery to a customer has been estimated. The Section also analyses prices of foreign trade operations in broken stone. Forecast of prices on broken stone up to 2015 in Russia as a whole and by separate Federal Districts has been given.

The tenth, final Section of the report is devoted to forecast of development of market of broken stone in Russia up to 2015. It presents two scenarios (optimistic and pessimistic) of changing volumes of production of broken stone for the forthcoming period. Analysis of factors, which owe demand for broken stone, has been conducted, and forecast of development of the main end-uses has been given. The Section also presents two scenarios (optimistic and pessimistic) of forecast of volumes of broken stone consumption in Russia in 2009-2015.

The Appendix presents addresses and contact information on leading Russian producers of broken stone.
