This report is the 4th edition of the study of the market for electrocorundum and tabular alumina in the CIS.

 

The purpose of the study is the analysis of the markets for electrocorundum and tabular alumina.

The object of study is electrocorundum, tabular alumina.

A distinctive feature of this study is that it first describes such a type of synthetic high-alumina materials as tabular alumina, which is an alternative to electrocorundum in the manufacture of refractory products.

 

This work is a desk study. The sources of information were data from the Federal State Statistics Service of the Russian Federation (Rosstat), statistics of rail transportation of the Russian Federation, the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation (FCS of the Russian Federation), the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Statistics, the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine, the InfoMine database. Also, data of the sectoral and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of issuers of securities, web sites of producers and consumers of alumina and tabular alumina were involved.

Chronological framework of the study: electrocorundum: 1999-2018; tabular alumina: 2013-2018; forecast - until 2025

Geography research: Russian Federation, Ukraine and Kazakhstan - a comprehensive detailed analysis of the market.

 

Scope of study: the report consists of 5 parts, contains 120 pages, including 46 tables, 37 figures, 2 annexes.

The first chapter of the report gives general information about electrocorundum and tabular alumina, describes their properties and production technology.

The second chapter of the report provides information on the dynamics and structure of production of electrocorundum in 1999-2018. and tabular alumina in 2013-2018, a description and description of the main producers of alumina and tabular alumina in the CIS. Considered markets and consumers, export activity.

The third chapter is devoted to the analysis of foreign trade operations of Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Belarus with electrocorundum in 1999-2018, Russia and Ukraine with tabular alumina in 2013-2018. The chapter presents information on the directions of supplies, exporters and importers of alumina and tabular alumina, and also discusses export-import prices.

The fourth chapter deals with the consumption of electrocorundum and tabular alumina in Russia and Ukraine. This section provides a balance of "production-consumption" of electrocorundum in 1999-2013. and tabular alumina in 2013-2018, a description of the main enterprise-consumers in the Russian Federation.

The final, fifth chapter of the report contains a forecast of the development of the Russian market of electrocorundum and tabular alumina until 2025.

The appendices provide the address and contact information of the main producers and consumers of electrocorundum and tabular alumina.
