The report is devoted to research of Russian market of self-supporting insulated and protected wires. The report is composed of introduction, 5 Chapters and Conclusion, contains 61 pages, including 18 Tables, 18 Figures and 2 Appendices. The work is a desk research. As information sources, we used data of Federal Service of State Statistics of Russia, Federal Customs Service of Russia, Ukrainian Customs and Statistic Committees, scientific-technical literature, sectoral, regional and international mass-media, as well as web-sites of company-producers and consumers of self-supporting insulated wires (SIP).

The first Chapter of is devoted to description of design, the main characteristics, technologies of production and main fields of application of self-supporting insulated and protected wires. The Chapter describes existing types of self-supporting insulated and protected wires, briefly describes the main stages of production of self-supporting insulated wires at Russian enterprises, describes the main advantages of overhead power lines with the use of insulated wires compared with non-insulated, notes the main disadvantages of self-supporting insulated wires.

The second Chapter analyzes production of self-supporting insulated wires in Russia and CIS, describes current standing of the main plant – producers of self-supporting insulated and protected wires, presents nomenclature and volumes of their production, and analyzes dynamics of production volumes of self-supporting insulated wires for the latest 5 years.

The third Chapter considers foreign trade operations of Russia and Ukraine in self-supporting insulated and protected wires. The Chapter presents analysis of dynamics of Russian and Ukrainian export-import supplies of the products for the latest 6 years in money terms, describes in details directions of the supplies, presents data on pattern of foreign trade operations in self-supporting insulated and protected wires in Russia and Ukraine.

The fourth Chapter describes the main consumers of self-supporting insulated wires in Russia, estimates supply-demand balance of the products, as well as briefly describes current price situation at Russian market of self-supporting insulated wires.

The sixth Chapter is devoted to estimation of tendencies of development of overhead power lines and prospects of Russian market of self-supporting insulated and protected wires. The Chapter presents forecasts of leading specialists of cable industry on development of the sector.

The Appendices for the report present contact information on the greatest producers of self-supporting insulated wires in Russia and CIS, as well as List of sources used.
