This report is the third edition of the silicon carbide market research in Russia and the CIS countries.
The purpose of the study is to analyze the silicon carbide market in Russia, Ukraine and other CIS countries.
The object of study is silicon carbide.
This work is a desk research. Data from Rosstat, the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, statistics of railway transportation of the Russian Federation, and the State Customs Service of Ukraine were used as sources of information; Data from the UNdata database, industry and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers, as well as Internet sites of silicon carbide manufacturers were used.
Chronological scope of the study: 2008 - 1st half of 2023; forecast – 2023-2030
Geography of the study: Russian Federation, Ukraine – comprehensive detailed market analysis; other CIS countries – general retrospective market analysis.
The report consists of 6 parts, contains 67 pages, including 13 figures, 30 tables and 1 appendix.
The first chapter of the report describes the production technology of silicon carbide and the requirements for its quality, and also provides data on the raw materials used in the production process.
The second chapter of the report is devoted to the production of silicon carbide in the CIS countries. This chapter describes the current state of the main enterprises producing silicon carbide in Russia and Ukraine, provides quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the products produced at each enterprise, and analyzes data on the volumes and directions of supplies in the period 2013 – the first half of 2023.
The third chapter of the report provides data on foreign trade operations with silicon carbide in the Russian Federation in 2008 – 1st half of 2023. and in Ukraine in 2008-2022. Statistical data on the volumes of foreign trade transactions, the regional structure of exports and imports of silicon carbide, data on the volumes and directions of supplies by the main exporters and importers are provided. Foreign trade operations with silicon carbide in other CIS countries in 2013-2022 are also briefly reviewed.
The fourth chapter of the report provides data on domestic and dynamics of export-import prices for silicon carbide in Russia in 2008-2022.
The fifth chapter of the report examines the consumption of silicon carbide in Russia in 2008 – 1st half of 2023. This section shows the balance of production and consumption of these products, evaluates the industry structure of consumption, and examines the main consumers. This chapter also shows the balance of production and consumption of silicon carbide in Ukraine.
The sixth chapter of the report provides a forecast for the development of the Russian silicon carbide market for the period up to 2030, taking into account the current state and development trends of the main consuming industries.
The appendix provides address and contact information for silicon carbide manufacturers in the CIS, as well as the largest Russian consumers.
