This report is the fourth edition of the study of the phosphate market in Russia, the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the world.
The purpose of the study is to analyze the phosphate market in the world and the EAEU countries (which include five countries: the Russian Federation, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic), as well as the chains of processing of these products in the chemical industry.
The objects of research are apatite concentrate, phosphorite concentrate (phosphate rock), phosphate fertilizers.
This work is a desk study. As sources of information, data from Rosstat, the Federal Customs Service (FTS) of the Russian Federation, the Statistics Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, industry and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers, VLSI, websites of manufacturing enterprises and consumers of phosphorus-containing products. Data from the US Geological Survey, Trade Map were also involved; Infomine database was used.
Chronological scope of the study: 2018-2022; forecast - 2023-2027
Geography of the study: countries of the Eurasian Economic Union, including the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Belarus - - a comprehensive detailed analysis of the market, the world - a brief overview of the market.
The report consists of 7 parts, contains 101 pages, including 25 figures, 48 tables and 2 appendices.
The first chapter is devoted to the world market of phosphates. The section provides data on the reserves of phosphate raw materials in the world, the dynamics of phosphate output in 2018-2022, the main producers of products and the global consumption of phosphates.
In the second chapter, an assessment of phosphate reserves in the EAEU is given. This section provides information on the number of phosphate ore deposits, their geographical location, reserves and degree of development.
The third chapter is devoted to the analysis of phosphate production in the Eurasian Economic Union. This chapter presents the requirements for the quality of products of various grades, provides data on production volumes in 2018-2022, traces the dynamics of the production of these products, describes the main producers of phosphate raw materials and their current state.
The fourth chapter analyzes foreign trade operations with phosphates in Russia and the EAEU countries in the period 2018-2022. Data on the volumes of exports and imports of the products under study are given, the regional structure of supplies is estimated, data on the volumes of phosphates supplied by individual exporters and importers are given.
The fifth chapter provides information on the level of prices for phosphates in the world, as well as on the domestic market of the Russian Federation; analyzed data on changes in export-import prices for products in 2018-2022.
The sixth chapter is devoted to the consumption of phosphates in Russia and other EAEU countries. This section presents the balance of production-consumption of the studied products, the sectoral structure of consumption is estimated, the main consumers and directions for the use of phosphates are described.
The seventh and final chapter is devoted to the forecast of phosphate consumption in the Russian Federation for the period up to 2027.
The appendices provide contact information for the main producers and consumers of phosphate raw materials in the EAEU.
Target audience of the study:
– participants in the market of phosphate raw materials and products of its processing (phosphorus-containing products);
- Potential investors.
The proposed study claims to be a reference tool for marketing services and management decision makers working in the market for phosphorus-containing products.
