This report is currently available in Russian language only. However, we can provide an English version of the report within 3 weeks after receiving a payment.

This report is the first edition of a market research for base polymers in Russia.

The purpose of the study is to analyze the Russian market for basic polymers: polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, polyethylene terephthalate, polycarbonate and polyamide. The review is focused on the consumption of these polymers in the food industry.

The objects of research are primary granulates of polymers: polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, polyethylene terephthalate, polycarbonate and polyamide.

This work is a desk study. The sources of information were data from Rosstat, the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, data from information analytical agencies, industry and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers, as well as Internet sites of polymer manufacturers.

Chronological scope of the study: 2015-2019; forecast - 2020

Geography of research: Russian Federation.

The report consists of 7 parts, contains 73 pages, including 59 tables and 1 appendix.

Sections 1-6 provide information on the state of the Russian market for basic polymers: polyethylene (chapter 1), polypropylene (chapter 2), polystyrene (chapter 3), polyethylene terephthalate (chapter 4), polycarbonate (chapter 5) and polyamide (chapter 6), while for each type of product:

- provides information on production volumes in 2015-2019. (and forecast for 2020), the structure of output by types and manufacturers of products;

- the main manufacturers of products in the Russian Federation are described;

- the balance of production-consumption of products in physical and value terms (2015-2020) is given, the structure of consumption is estimated, including the share of polymer consumption in the food industry;

- the largest consumers (including importers) of products are described.

In the final chapter of the report (conclusions), the final structure of consumption of base polymers is given, and also a conclusion is made about the volume of consumption of polymers by the food industry.

The appendix contains address and contact information of the main enterprises producing base polymers in the Russian Federation.

Target audience of the study:

- market participants for basic polymers - producers, consumers, traders;

- potential investors.

The proposed research claims to be a reference manual for marketing services and specialists making management decisions working in the market of polymer products and food packaging.
